Jack London

Jack London, what a storyteller he was. As I think on it, perhaps the reason some authors are more successful than the next is because they pick the subject to write about that is best suited to the way they think and the way they write and every other thing about them that we may not be aware of. It is interesting to me that this thought came into my mind when thinking about Jack London. He wrote about Alaska and the wild and the animal huskies who inhabit the north country. And he did it in such a vibrant and exciting way. I don’t think anyone could do better. I read London as a young person and have never forgotten the immense grip he had on me as I was reading. The Call of the Wild and White Fang, what powerful stories, what powerful writing.
