Sara Loo, poet, author, stood alongside an entire town to witness the the great ship, Etrusco, getting blown out of the sea, landing upright, on the doorstep of the oldest complete lighthouse in America. The town: Satuit; renamed: Scituate. The year:1956.

Ms. Loo attributes her success in writing to a Mother Nature who spared not her fierceness nor her beauty in the author’s formative years. This combined with an ancestry that claims Irish-American Indian descent, plus the insatiable love of words, has allowed her to claim 52 grants from the Massachusetts Council of the Arts, plus a broadcasting award for writing. Today Ms. Loo has the privilege of traveling across the globe gleaning new insights, new ideas for new stories.
